Stephanopoulos did grow a spine though and pushed back on Biden’s claim that he knew nothing about the investigation into Michael Flynn

borrowing a line from his former boss, he likely heard it on the news when everyone else did. But then after Biden went on a rant about how the whole thing was a distraction from the Trump administration’s coronavirus response, Stephanopoulos reminded him about that January 5, 2017 meeting in the Oval Office where just about everybody tied up in the Russian collusion scandal was gathered. Only then did he admit that, yes, he knew. Barack Obama did too

@SteveGuest

Joe Biden admits he was briefed on Flynn investigation after claiming “I knew nothing”

@pmbasse

This guy can’t even survive a softball interview with a press sycophant.

At this point, Joe thinks the answer to 2+2 is “Thomas Jefferson, sucka!”

When asked for a rebuttal, Biden responded:

Go ahead and disavow Obama.

See how that works out for you Joe.

Please God, let the debates start soon. Trump will shoot a jab, and Biden will stumble and mumble around for 5 minutes looking like the unfit for office relic he is.

Replying to @SteveGuest @seanmdav

Technically, Joe can do both simultaneously.

He can be briefed and still know nothing. It is a rare trait.

Honestly, I would be shocked if there was an actual debate should the DNC move forward with Joe as the nominee.

That's not growing a spine.

Stephanopoulos has been a Clinton stooge for almost 30 years. He's in on the takedown.

Assuming they stick with Joe (and that's a YUGE assumption at this point), that would be a VERY bad look. It'd make Joe look afraid.

If they can use the corona virus excuse to make it a virtual format, it would be their only hope. Live and face to face would be a complete disaster for the Dems.

They are putting the pieces in place for a slimmed down virtual convention already, next step is keep Gropin Joe in his basement lair.

Oh, they'd try. And it wouldn't be much help, although they could always just fall back on the old "technical difficulties" excuse when Joe falters.

The fact is, though, by August or September, they won't have much of an excuse to avoid a face-to-face. DJT and Joe, 10-15 feet apart, moderator facing them the same distance away. No live audience.
