Trump asked Congress for funding to refill the SPR in March of 2020, at a cost of about $30 per barrel. Dems blocked it and beat their chests over stopping a “big oil bail out”. Fast forward to this month, and the Biden DOE is spiking the football over all the money they saved taxpayers by buying oil for the SPR at $79 per barrel this year rather than $95 last year.
