Full disclosure, I was originally for Rispone in the first place on the basis that he was calling for a constitutional convention but when Rispone went negative on Abraham, I switched over to Abraham as I knew Rispone made a huge mistake going negative and he was going to have problems consolidating the base in the runoff and JBE was going spend a lot of money to hammer home Rispone's attacks on Abraham in North Louisiana.
Sadly, I turned out to be correct in my hypothesis.
As much as 10-12% of Abraham voters went to JBE and the rest is history.
Rispone won the battle against Abraham but he lost the war overall.

You married a smart woman. Congrats.
By the way, that wasn't even the worst debate moment that cycle as that honor belongs to Scott Angelle suggesting Vitter killed the hookers that he was sleeping with. It literally made the audience gasp. It was the lowest part of that cycle.
That was pure sleaze that no one else on the stage supported but they didn't dare bother to repudiate it.
Angelle based that sleaze on a rumor on some hack blog his staffer read a few days before the debate.
What a piece of shite Angelle was. Completely disqualified himself from having a meaningful career in Louisiana politics.

You cannot say this enough times Sentrius. The Republicans that crossed over and voted for Honor Choade not once, but twice, are to blame for our state’s woes a thousand times more than the core Democratic constituency that don’t even attempt to hide that they are only casting their vote to keep the flow of free stuff coming. Worst leadership in the South, and it’s not even close.
