Vitter hanging with hookers did not bother me.
What bothered me was him and his cronies running on the "anti-hooker family values" propaganda they run on all the time.

This x1000. Government is not just budget. They pass legislation that effects people's lives on a personal level. When Vitter would tell me avout being pro family, pro life, and pro Christian but would not even own to fricking a hooker, he lost me.
And this board can downvote me to hell but unless these mainstream views are part of a LA GOP audit, JBE will win re election.

It may be hypocritical but I couldn't give two shits about it if no crime was committed and/or any tax dollars was abused.
And I'm someone who's not very religious myself as I'm an easter Sunday and christmas type of christian.

Uh budget is just pretty much the only tangible effect that legislation from the government has an effect on you and we are seeing that plain as day every day JBE is in office.

Especially after seeing people insist on rationalizing that they're completely ok with a chief executive who wants the Illinois and California model of governance for Louisiana despite knowing in their minds that's not what what they should support at all.
No wonder people want to leave this state when this kind of ignorance is absolutely rampant here.

Louisiana government has structural problems that no D or R can fix. Infrastructure is shite. Economy is a one horse pony. Until there is a constitutional convention nothing will ever get better.

I'm certain the Republican leadership in the House and Senate will be putting forth a convention call any day now.....

If the Republicans in the House would agree to reduce the roughly $1 billion a year Louisiana spends in tax expenditures/subsidies to big business, that would go a long way to re- establishing fiscal stability. For example, one of those tax expenditures is the ludicrous tax credit businesses in Louisiana get from the state to the tune of $500 million a year to reimburse them for the inventory tax the parishes charge them at the end of the year. The parishes get the benefit, but the state foots the bill...ridiculous. But do the Republicans in the House even consider at least reducing this subsidy, let alone eliminating it? No.

Jindal didn't do a good job overall, but through hook and crook he managed things without massive tax increases. He did have favorable oil prices, but now with oil sputtering all Edwards can do is raise taxes a lot even though La. is in economic trouble.
