His scheme was incredibly stupid. Did he really think that a WaPo journalist would tell someone "Yeah, I can guarantee you that your story would lose the election for Roy Moore." I'm not a fan of WaPo, but seriously? This guy is an idiot if his plan was to get WaPo to admit that they can guarantee someone that a candidate in an election will lose because of a story told to them. Why not try something that makes more sense and has a higher probability of working, like having her ask for money for her story or some other type of compensation. Maybe he's already tried those and failed.
