Why didn't Acuna see Gianforte first grab the recorder since she claims she saw no physical provocation by Jacobs before Gianforte did anything?
quote:
Let's go down this road. Let's say she missed the first fraction of a second in the altercation.
That means the two Fox reporters' original accounts were incorrect because they both claimed Gianforte first grabbed Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS.
quote:
Guess what, her account matches up perfectly with Jacob's and completely contradicts Greg's. Greg will be forced to fess up soon enough.
First admit that the two Fox reporters' original accounts that Gianforte first grabbed Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS is incorrect then we can discuss what happened after Gianforte first grabbed the recorder.

Did Gianforte apologize for first grabbing Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS?
quote:
No, but his credibility is now even shittier than before, and everyone with any remaining credibility claim that Gianforte
1) Was the aggressor
2) Assaulted Jacobs; and
3) That Jacobs did nothing hostile or aggressive
The "everyone" you are talking about are Fox News reporter Alicia Acuna, field producer Faith Mangan, and photographer Keith Railey and their credibility is now shite because Faith Mangan admitted she didn't see what started the scuffle and Acuna's and Railey's original accounts were proven incorrect by Jacobs himself.

You have to be absolutely delusional to believe that relatively small differences arising from the account of a guy who was in the process of being assaulted equates to "proven incorrect."
The person in question has acknowledged wrongdoing, and you're still on here shilling for him. It's quite strange.

You're lying "fish-story" boy, as always. You started making up whoppers 32 years ago ago and it continues today.
No one said that Gianforte grabbed Jacob by the neck first. No one used the word first. You just keep injecting that into your version of the story because it fits your made up "fish story".
Secondly, and most importantly, you claim that Jacobs grabbed Gianforte's wrist and pulled him to the ground. Which never happened.
You're 0 for 2 on this one "fish-story boy".

The article I linked to said "Acuna authored a story on Fox News’ website that details how Gianforte, without any physical provocation, 'grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him.' "
LINK
That means she is claiming she saw what happened immediately before the scuffle began and she did not have to use the word, "first". She claimed that immediately after no physical provocation by Jacobs, "Gianforte grabbed Jacobs' by the neck with BOTH HANDS.

Since Acuna's and the Fox producer's accounts were proven incorrect by Jacobs himself then what proof do you have that Jacobs didn't grab Gianforte's wrist after Gianforte first grabbed the recorder?
Show me the video that proves Jacobs didn't grab Gianforte's wrist after Gianforte first grabbed the recorder.
After all, it is reasonable for Jacobs to react to Gianforte first grabbing the recorder by grabbing the wrist of the hand that Gianforte grabbed the recorder with.

Show me where anyone used the word first. You have been saying that over and over until you believe it yourself. But no one used the would first. You just make it so you could try to make your ridiculous argument.
As far as whether Gianforte body slammed Jacobs, here's the transcript from the audio.
Gianforte: … Sick and tired of you guys. The last guy that came here you did the same thing. Get the hell out of here. Get the hell out of here. The last guy did the same thing. You with The Guardian?
Jacobs: Yes, and you just broke my glasses.
Gianforte: The last guy did the same damn thing.
Jacobs: You just body slammed me and broke my glasses.
Gianforte: Get the hell out of here.
Gianforte doesn't deny that he body slammed Jacobs. The only denial came much later from Gianforte's campaign, who said that Jacobs grabbed Gianforte's wrist, and pulled Gianforte to the ground.
But none of the witnesses originally said that Jacobs grabbed his wrist. That only came later after the Gianforte campaign issued their bullsh!t version of what happened.
Like I said, you're 0 for 2 on this one, "fish-story" boy.

This is the only thing that makes sense unless you really think that Gianforte is some knuckle-dragging brawler randomly attacking those weaker than himself.
I never once thought he actually started the kerfuffle by choking the reported with both hands. To believe it, I'd have to see an unedited uncut video of that showing the situation several seconds before the 'choking' began.

Gianforte grabbed the recorder to push it away and Jacobs grabbed Gianforte's wrist then the two of them fell over and hit the floor.

I agree and that's why I'm saying to those posters who say Gianforte first grabbed Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS to SHOW ME THE VIDEO!!!

I've posted several times in this thread that "Acuna authored a story on Fox News’ website that details how Gianforte, without any physical provocation, 'grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him.' "

That means Acuna originally claimed she saw what happened immediately before the scuffle began and that without any physical provocation by Jacobs, Gianforte first grabbed Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS.
Geez, why are you afraid to admit that's the same as saying Gianforte first grabbed Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS?

Without a video I can't know for sure whether Gianforte fell on top of Jacobs when they both lost balance during the scuffle or whether Gianforte actually body slammed Jacobs but that discussion is for another thread.
All I do know for certain is Jacobs said on Georgey boy's show that Gianforte first grabbed the recorder.
Since you believe Jacobs is telling the truth about Gianforte body slamming him then why don't you believe Jacobs when he said Gianforte first grabbed the recorder?
quote:
But none of the witnesses originally said that Jacobs grabbed his wrist.
Two of the eyewitnesses originally said Gianforte first grabbed Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS which was contradicted by Jacobs himself and the 3rd eyewitness admitted she didn't see what happened that started the scuffle or what happened before Jacobs hit the floor.
I saw her interview on TV and she said she was out of the room and heard the sound of someone hitting the floor so she looked into the room to see what was happening.

You would consider a R that says politicians shouldn't assault reporters to be weak?

I'm talking about the two eyewitnesses original account of Gianforte first grabbing Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS was proven incorrect by Jacobs himself.
Since that is the case then the rest of their testimony of what occurred has to be questioned for its veracity.

Meh, Gianforte just apologized because he thinks he could have handled the situation better than he did.
They both could have handled the situation better that they did.

I just found a transcript of Acuna's original account of what happened.
According to The Slatist in an article entitled, "Republican Candidate in Montana Accused of Body Slamming and Punching Reporter for Asking Questions" by Elliot Hannon, "Fox News reporter Alicia Acuna, who was preparing for an interview with Gianforte on Special Report with Bret Baier, writes that she and her crew were chatting with the GOP candidate before the interview was set to begin when Ben Jacobs approached."
The next 2 paragraphs are Acuna's original account of what happened.
quote:
During that conversation, another man — who we now know is Ben Jacobs of The Guardian — walked into the room with a voice recorder, put it up to Gianforte's face and began asking if him if he had a response to the newly released Congressional Budget Office report on the American Health Care Act. Gianforte told him he would get to him later. Jacobs persisted with his question. Gianforte told him to talk to his press guy, Shane Scanlon. At that point, Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him. Faith, Keith and I watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the man, as he moved on top the reporter and began yelling something to the effect of "I'm sick and tired of this!"
Jacobs scrambled to his knees and said something about his glasses being broken. He asked Faith, Keith and myself for our names. In shock, we did not answer. He then said he wanted the police called and went to leave… To be clear, at no point did any of us who witnessed this assault see Jacobs show any form of physical aggression toward Gianforte, who left the area after giving statements to local sheriff's deputies.
LINK
Here's the relevant part.
quote:
Gianforte told him to talk to his press guy, Shane Scanlon. At that point, Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands...
Acuna may have not used the actual word, "first" in her original statement but her statement clearly is that after Gianforte told Jacobs to talk to Shane, at that point Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS.
In other words, Acuna said that after Gianforte told Jacobs to talk to Shane, Gianforte first grabbed Jacobs by the neck with BOTH HANDS.
