Had it in January.
Bad sore throat all at once.
Over it in 3 or 4 days.
I spread it to everyone else just like someone spread it to me.
Much rather have covid than the flu.

What difference would it make.

Wow. I would at least want to know that I have it so I can quarantine away from my immuno-compromised child. Telling a patient they're "good" is not the same thing as "probably have Covid, but we're not going to test you". That seems like malpractice.

No test needed. Tests are only needed to inform treatment decisions. They didn’t need a test for you to do that. That’s how American healthcare has always run.

I think I had it too. It was before tests were even available.

Congratulations you now have antibodies and are part of the herd immunity that will make this a thing of the past.

If you have a immune compromised child you should stay away from them anytime you feel sick. Not just when you have the flu or china man virus or anything else that you suspect can be transmitted.

They don't want to test you because they're trying to keep the recovery numbers low.

I hate the though of visiting a MD's office, as my wife is 77; but I realize the problematic aspect of allowing a normal sinus infection to get worse.

A month ago my wife (NO PICS) tested + for flu A, she started having sinus issues 2 weeks ago and her doctor wouldn't allow her to come in for a follow up. The did an MDLIVE on-line. The Doc called in a script to our CVS and she is doing better.

MDLIVE or TELADOC could be an option. Hope y'all get better.

It just pisses me off that it seems like some people are able to get tested and some aren't

You're young and in shape. You have that working for you. And you are posting so you likely aren't close to death. You'll get better and good for you! Let them use your blood for antibodies. And take your government check and spend it on something nice. Keep working when you can!

When did you have it in January? Unless it was during the final days of January and you had been hanging around Chinamen from Wuhan or in nursing homes in Washington, doesn't meet the timeline we've been given.

The urgent care and your treatment was deplorable. Good luck fighting this off. Thanks for your story.

I haven't been able to smell for a week, but I have no desire nor plans to get tested. I'll quarantine hardcore for another week to the detriment of my mental health, then im done with this shite. I've done my part, and then some. If you're immune compromised stay the frick at home, everyone else needs to get back to work. Every minute our economy sits idle, it hurts our Nation and helps China.

Thank you, Dr. I didn't realize this virus had the same comorbidities as a cold or strep or the fois.

The OPs problem is that they told him he was "good". Obviously, a person would behave differently towards work and family under that diagnosis versus a probable positive diagnosis, regardless of social distancing from the general public.

It's allergy season. Pretty much everybody has a sore throat.

I’ve been taking 2 Airborne tablets a day. Not only is it helping to stave off allergy symptoms, it’s also elevating my zinc levels...which is important in also staving off the virus.

Was going to post this.

I've had a sore throat for almost two weeks with all this pollen.

I have had it since the middle of March.

This current situation is beyond ridiculous.

Finally had enough yesterday and blasted the wife who has been handwringing and decontaminating like it's the Bubonic Plague.

I have never dropped F bombs in front of my kids, but they were flying.

I am with you. I got a tingle in my throat Friday night and immediately inhaled some Nasacort. Next morning I was fine. Maybe I kicked the China Flu’s arse... or maybe it was just pollen. I will never know.
