Voting, that's just partisan politics, lets cut the shite. If that block was more than 50% voting conservative this thread wouldn't exist, and we all know it.
I imagine that if the research showed that the human brain is fully developed at 18 then that voting block would be voting more than 50% conservative, making this thread unnecessary.

Well, you can imagine all you want, you'd still be wrong.

Here's the breakdown by age from 2014. It's not until 40 do we see the gap go away. Meaning they have "fully developed brains" for 15 years, making your hypothesis about the relevance of brain development and political idealogies, stupid bullshite.

But you probably knew that when you started this thread, wrote it anyway. Welcome to the poliboard.

I’m in....... voters should be old enough to pay taxes and at 18 they are in colleges or living at home and don’t have knowledge of true independence and consequences of their decisions and/ or opinions

So what’s your issue with having people wait to vote until their brains are fully developed again?

If their brains are "developed enough" to get drafted and sent to war to fight/die for our protection, they have every right to vote. In fact, I'd argue in some respects they've earned it more than you and I (assuming you never served. If you have, thank you).

And since I don't see how changing that age makes sense, here we are.

Furthermore, nobody has mentioned yet that at 18 you get tried as an adult, despite not having a "fully developed brain". If you're going to be treated like an adult when you behave poorly, you damn sure have the right to act like one (vote) when you don't. Do you think 23 year olds should be tried as kids???

This thread is just partisan politics and nobody is fooled. Just say what you really want, which is less liberals to vote.

You mean we weren't all legally obligated to register for the draft when we turned 18???

I say that all the time.

It’s my main reason for not wanting women to vote.

As far as trying kids as adults. I think that would work itself out when women quit voting. I blame women’s suffrage for most of the ridiculous laws that kids get arrested for breaking. Like drug laws. As far as real crime like theft and murder, frick em.

Good, glad we're clear.

Don't ever pretend to give a shite about people's liberty or rights, we all know that's a lie. Politically, your voice is completely irrelevant.

Young people are too stupid these days to vote.
At 20 years old I had my apartment with a truck note, boat note and job. Most of these dumbass blue haired kids with shite hanging out their face and tattoos on their neck and face can’t even change a spare tire.
We shot pellet guns and bows in high school. We welded and used torches. We were not indoctrinated in school, we were taught things we really needed for adult life. We didn’t concentrate on progressive social justice shite.
A man that’s 20 years old today can’t come close to being able to do what a 20 year old in the 70’s or 80’s could do. The whole generation now are pussys and can’t even change a tire or drive a standard.
I have 56 employees that I manage for a living. The 18-21 year olds are mostly useless and can’t get off Facebook long enough to do their job. They are soft and weak. One in six make it a year before quitting or being fired.

So it sounds like at 20 you irresponsibly took on a bunch of unnecessary debt

And the young people today are somehow dumber than you? How

So basically you don't want anyone who disagrees with you to vote

Yet you're a complete moron so you only want a bunch of other complete morons voting. Makes sense.

Well, less liberals voting means a smaller government which means more liberty, so I care more about liberty than most. There’s no reason for voting to be a right anyway.

The problem is the solution for a freer society in your mind starts with restrictions on liberties as a means to an end

You're no better than the liberals

If morons like you had their way this country would be anything but free

You don't even know what the word "liberty" means. You want it to be illegal for women and young adults to vote. Why? Because they don't vote the way you want them to.

Congratulations, you have the political acumen of a 12 year old. Really makes me wonder if you actually have any idea what a "fully developed brain" is in the first place.

Lol. That's now the standard? If it hasn't happened in awhile it doesn't matter? Can you share with us some examples of other places in our laws/rights that model applies?

Move along.

Ok, but then the voting cutoff is 60, to many old farts living longer these days, I blame statins.
