I’m well aware. State is not DHS. Again, I’m all for it. We should be educated our own over foreigners. Especially from enemy countries like China. But I didn’t know DHS could tell Harvard who and who not to admit.

State Department has to vet the applicants for VISA before and after they are here. Those found to have committed crimes, dropped out of school ca. lose their visas. State can ask for academic status and for disciplinary records. If they will not share them then state can blanket not renew or issue new visas for those wanting to attend the university.

This is a correct statement. It is also correct to say that as a private institution they have no obligation to turn over any private records to the government for any reason.

Who can & can't come into the country is not Harvard's decision or responsibility.
Rumor is they've enrolled foreign students without gov't approval. No visas, no records, no anything.
They have every obligation if they're breaking the law.
