Not even close. These aren't your grandaddy's nuclear bombs, Jethro. They range from being 30 to 80 times more powerful and destructive than the bombs we dropped in WWII.
When I look it up, sources vary in their opinions, but the least destructive estimates predict ionization that reaches us here on this continent and a global economic collapse (which also affects us.) The most destructive estimates predict all that plus a partial nuclear winter that reaches us, famine and global starvation that will kill as many as a billion people, and depending on how China and/or Russia react, WWIII.
We don't have to treat the most destructive estimates seriously; even the least destructive estimates would result in the worst problems we've had since at least the Great Depression.
Those of you who do not know this and stupidly think that nothing that happens over there has any direct effect on us should stop flapping your lips on here until you educate yourself a bit.

It's very easy to look at the Middle East and see who the problem is. If you're not a stupid mother—scratcher, that is.
One party has agreed to the vast majority of peaceful, two state solution proposals. The other has rejected 13 of 13. 100% of them. Regardless of who proposed them.

Israel has a history of fighting with Lebanon since long before these last three months... and there's this little terrorist group called Hezbollah that operates out of Lebanon... and basically governs it. They have a history of conducting terrorist attacks and rocket attacks on Israel. Call it a hunch, but I think that could be why Israel is bombing them. Maybe.
