Yep. The calls of "proportional response" will likely come up again. It's like some rando in a bar kicking Conor McGregor in the nuts then people jumping in front of Conor and saying "hey, you need to calm down...".

Israel has put up with a lot of attacks for decades, going so far as to develop roof-knocking in order to have a response that attempts to not harm civilians (because Hamas and Hezbollah have both been known to use civilians as cover for attacks).

Internet and water should be first.

If you take but can’t parade hostages for the internet, it makes a much smaller splash.

Nobody NEEDS to see innocent people brutalized.

Israel needs to use whatever they have. They need to be allowed. Any surveillance showing a mass gathering in Gaza, hit it. If they are gathered, they are celebrating. They are enemies.

The best thing the US can do for Israel is cut them loose. Providing warships comes with the expectation of fighting like Americans. Hamas needs to be fought barbarically. A small isolated coastal community had been allowed to start shite for decades. They need to be pushed into the ocean.

Sadly, I disagree.

The eventual renewed calls for Israel to limit itself to only a "proportional response" will crop up again once they start plowing through Gaza. Support of that call will rely on as many people as possible remaining ignorant of what Hamas is doing to whomever they capture. It's little different than this idiocy:
