Israel attacking Iranian targets in Syria

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says its operation is against the Quds Force - an elite unit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
It provided no details. But there are reports of strikes around the Syrian capital Damascus early on Monday.
Syrian media say air defences have repelled "an Israeli aerial attack". On Sunday the IDF said it had intercepted a rocket over the Golan Heights.
The IDF announced the start of its operation in a tweet early on Monday.

No, bad bad. Could destabilize the region furher. Frick Israel. I’ve got no love for Iran or Syria but don’t want to get dragged into another damned war.

C’mon David Israel and Iran have 300 skirmishes a year. They lobbed rockets ( or tried ) into Israel yesterday. This is the norm.

Probably you’re right. But the region is a frickin powder keg. We need to get out and let it explode on its own and don’t go in and try to clean it up.

Israel had to play close to the best under Obama because they didn't trust him.
They know Trump won't interfere or scold, so the gloves are coming off. They can handle it themselves.

Israel has been routinely attacking Iranian targets in Syria for a while now. Tonight is not going to all of sudden cause things to spiral out of control.
