Dunno where 200 countries come from, but Jews have tremendous history in Asia countries like India and China, very respected and admired. Jewish people belong to middleman minority groups (read Thomas Sowell). Armenians, Lebanese, Chinese, Indians, Nigerian Ibos---groups like that play the role of money lenders, shop keepers, peddlars, etc in developing societies. At first, it's nothing to envy but after long time of savings and weatlh accumulation, plus the notable success that comes with it, they make enemies----folks that are jealous of their success. The majority of Vietnamese that fled Vietnam during the war years were Chinese. Idi Amin kicked Indians out of Uganda. Malaysia discriminated against Chinese. These list goes on.

Isolationist connotes anti US involvement in foreign countries, specifically Israel in this instance. Because Israel is in such a powder keg in the Middle East, the necessarily rely on the US for back up for defense of Israel.

Without US support, Israel may cease to exist, and not believing the the Jews, the nation of Israel has a right to exist I think qualifies as anti Semitic.

I didn't say it. I was just asking a question. We don't have many Jews in TX. I've never understood the history of it at all.

Well, I'm not fan of propping up today's Israel but I have great respect for Jews in general. I prob. know more about their history than the average so-called non-Jewish defender of Israel. I think in the long-term, Israel will cease to exist due to factors beyond their control (declining birth rate among educated, with high birth rates of zealots, being surrounded by enemies, reliant on America and other countries).

Jewish pop. was higher in south in older days. For example, Lehman Brothers got their start in Alabama. Younger folks moved to NYC, San Fran, etc.---bigger urban centers for various reasons. Jews never had any problems in American South though.

As a child, I asked my dad why people hated Jews...why did Hitler seek to kill them off completely?

It never seemed like a clear cut answer from anyone I asked.

There are various cultures across the globe and these one sect of people are loathed enough for an attempt at mass extermination.

Is it a religious thing that has metastisized over time?

And the Jews, without a national homeland or identity, will be that much closer to no longer existing.

You just don’t know them...there is a sizable Jewish population in Houston.

It's gotta be something like that. It's one of the the stupidest phenomenons ever.

He believed they were actively undermining his country. He believed Germany had WW1 won until Jewish influence in German politics pulled them out. He believed the crippling debt placed on Germany was orchestrated by Jews. He believed Jews in Germany, Russia, Britain and the US were actually all in conspiracy to bankrupt and destroy Germany. He believed Red October in Russia, and all communism, was actually a holy war by Jews against Christians (indeed, many many of the Bolsheviks were in fact Jews and they did burn churches). He believed the German Civil War that occurred in 1918 was the same plot. He believed the drastic poverty and drastic moral decline that occurred under the Weimar Republic was directly intended by Jews.

Thank you! Now do all the other countries, KKK, etc. Widespread hatred throughout history. And why kill them for those offenses rather than just excommunicate them?

Enslaved in Egypt for thousands of years?

It sounds like YOU are the anti-semite. Carlson speaks out against usuary and YOU automatically assume he's talking about the Joos.

You just exposed yourself, you anti-semite

To say that is something the Jewish faith is intrinsically linked with, well, I’m sorry to say that is anti Semitic.

Only on the Poli Board, I guess, are Jews not known for usury.

That I can't do.

That's a good question.

So you prove my point. There is no clear-cut reason, throughout time, for why Jews are so hated.

What do some know that others don't?

It's just for no reason that they've been kicked out of 109 countries. It's just widespread antisemitism that exists for no reason. Sucks to be them.

What do you mean? Didn't you just say there wasn't a single clear reason? I agree
