It's probably real. There was an article several days ago talking about how Trump buys everyone on his cabinet shoes from a particular shoemaker he likes and he guesses their size.
And most of the time, Trump is wrong in his predictions of shoes size (who wouldn't be?) so when Trump gives the shoes to the person, they obviously put them on.
There was a picture of Rubio wearing shoes that were obviously way too big, and the media ran with it as some weird form of subservience to Trump.
