Russia has little respect for human life. They will sacrifice many more of their own as well as the enemy than US can stomach. But they will keep sending in troops.

Not especially. I don’t believe for a second they’ve really used the full force and capability of their conventional forces and they’ve still made progress into Ukraine They have something like 12,000 tanks at their disposal but they’re sitting on much of it for one example. If they decide to open things up they can and if they want to be ruthless they could inflict truly horrific casualties on the Ukrainian people. If anything I think they’ve show restraint of all things and it’s cost them lives. With that being said Putin sure doesn’t seem to mind losing a few thousand of his countrymen. At least not outwardly. That would never fly here.

So why is everyone saying Russia has failed just because they haven't taken a larger country (Ukraine) in under a week? Honest question.

The US lost like 75 troops in the 5 weeks that it took to take Iraq.

Russia has lost 5,000 troops in 5 days.

It doesn’t help the whole world thinks they are a-hole when it’s really China. It’s amazing how they get away with shite. They’d be the same way Military, they couldn’t handle it and they’d use random civilians. They hate us but it’s whatever.

If I’ve learned anything the last year, there is no super power, all corrupt leaders all with “3rd world problems”

Hell we have how many shootings just in Chicago in a regular weekend? Crime has been spilling out to other wanna be cities bad.

That's the claim. Something is fishy about the whole damn situation.

Why do you say that? They launched attacks all the way into western Ukraine last night. Why are they settling for half the territory after the cost we placed on the invasion for them.

Because the occupation in the west will be too difficult. Russia initially hit western military instillations to weaken western back up as they clear the east. The east is full of friendlies. Putin will cede the west as a negotiation olive branch.

That’s my opinion.

US troops tend to be more specialized so that losing them hurts us a lot.

Russians see their soldiers like chess pawns and can easily swap one battalion for another and not see a big drop in performance.

Thus. Russia’s leadership could likely give a shite as long as they reach their goals. And by all accounts, they aren’t getting there as fast as they would like.

It’s a good opinion. Most of the east are pro Russian or rural that has been “occupied”. Kyiv is the problem, it’s baby America in a country that is very old but very young.

that makes sense. If putin needs an olive branch that would be a good one. we'll see i guess if he ends up needing an olive branch.

You mean by western made up accounts. We really don’t know what the Russian military’s Gantt chart looks like.

Additionally if Putin takes western Ukraine then Poland goes ape shite. Poland does not want to border Russia. And if Poland gets involved then NATO gets involved. I think Putin wants to avoid that escalation.

I’ve seen one and two here and there, but not pics of mass killings. If there are 5000 dead we should see a couple of pictures with 20 or 30 dead in one picture.

I’ve also seen Ukrainians walk right past them and it’s like normal. I haven’t followed much the past two days but I was hearing this 5k number a few days ago.
