Is SCOTUS saying we have to give invaders notice and due process even during a war?

It appears that is what they conveyed to the Trump administration Friday.

How else are we to interpret it?

If the basis for holding an invader is the AEA and the US is trying to deport the invader, then yes.

Giving terrorist/criminals notice that they will be deported. What can wrong??

It's fricking ridiculous. That ruling demonstrates how out of touch with the real world those progressive elites are from the real world we live in. It's ridiculous.

You’re giving them way too much credit. They know what they are doing.

I saw someone post this a few weeks ago and I honestly think this is the best short term solution. POTUS needs to set up a slee of FEMA trailers right in the middle of these "justices" neighborhoods and start packing them with the worst of the worst. In due time the issue will resolve itself.

L
Appoint 1,000 immigration judges to hear cases. Temporary immigration judges can be selected easily. Make sure the appointed immigration judges will rule like they should.

This has been discussed already and is probably the best action.

Feels like stuffing the courts isn't such a crazy idea after all.

Since SCOTUS is behaving like a kangaroo court, grab them up and process the invaders through a specially appointed group of judges fulfilling all due process and deport all these criminals.

What's your point? SCOTUS says we have to give invaders notice and due process even during a war.

Ze/zem/zer,

SCOTUS did not say Trump had inappropriately used the AEA.

I agree with everything you posted but vetting and appointing temp judges will take awhile. If Trump starts moving in FEMA trailers inside their gated communities and states they will be housed here until their court date, the issue will quickly take care of itself. They need their due process for ever how long it takes to get them cleared.

SCOTUS seems to be ripping the last rug of hope out from under our feet.

I wonder what they expect of us once we are hopeless.

If only the AEA then yes. Remember the AEA applies to far more than criminals or terrorist....

Now the other option would be suspend habeus corpus and due process all together. That's also a valid option during a wartime or insurrection for sure
