And another thing... 50 years ago, the same Baby Boomers you are criticizing were integral in bringing the Civil Rights movement to the forefront. Lots of white college kids drove down south to help.

I guess once it blew up in their face (poverty, violence, shitty schools) they changed their mind? It'll blow up in your face, too.

I think it helps them validate their feelings that they are better than their parents.

Most people are. You've been conditioned to think otherwise

I keep seeing people talk about the "racial divide" in this country.. and it sure seems like it's mostly between old white dudes and minorities.

You've swallowed the narrative whole.

don't see very much racism between millennials

millennials see racism where it doesn't really exist (relatively speaking). In general, they have very little concept of true racism.

55ish was my sincere goal in my mid 20s. As I get older I keep pushing it back. You'd be surprised what you come to enjoy.

Hang in there.

True racism, the belief that your race is inherently superior to another on that basis alone, is a dying mindset in our culture predominantly held by older generations.

Most of what gets labeled as "racist" by millenials and the left these days is not true racism however. Saying African Americans are better at basketball and commit more crimes as a percentage of their population than whites isn't racist for instance, they are just facts. Just like saying most white collar criminals are Caucasian and most illegal immigrants are Hispanic.

Acknowledging statistics and macro trends is not racist and doesn't mean one thinks a given race is inherently superior.

White millenials have been raised on the idea of self hatred, collective guilt, white privilege, and lack of personal responsibility/accountability for outcomes. They seem to actually be able to feel guilt about something they didn't do, directed toward someone to which that something didn't happen ,which to a guy from the tail end of gen x is complete madness. Anyway, they tend to cowtow to whoever has the most pathetic story, as though claims of victimization are some kind of prized currency. So it not surprising that they feel they are getting along so well with other races/groups when all of their interactions with people of these groups is one long apology to them . And yet they ironically fail to see the deep seated bigotry at the heart of that position, that they are white knighting for all these groups and that they need them to do so.

But according to the last census, America is 72.4% white and 12.6 black, there's no way more of the white race would be criminal than that of the black race, it's impossible anything other than an anarchic society.

Also, whites are more likely to be of a domestic terroristic threat by percentage and historical data, but that is pushed upon those of middle eastern descent so...?

Now, as a young black man, this is how I always saw it. It's not generational. It's not restricted to color. It's either taught or its acquired through living. I've been called the N-word by a 3-year-old white girl, as sweet as she wanted to be. I couldn't even be mad. She has no idea what all that encapsulates, BUT she was TAUGHT what it meant, cause she obviously used it on me.

All lashing out on this board doesn't mean yall are racist, but you only talk negatively on this younger generation of white millennials because they have obviously embraced some of black culture. The world is inclusive, and that's been happening as long as slaves were being shipped over so its nothing new.

What's funny though is? How many millennials are in any House or Senate, Presidency, Governorship or have big money tied up in interests that will keep them from voting for right over self? Young and naive to older whites, open-minded to the rest of the world. It's not that they have been brainwashed or have self-hate, they just actually listen and stop trying to justify wrong as right, just because that's the way they want it or that it benefits them and I'm sorry to say that's how it should be.

If any of you all, young or old knew what it was like to be Black in America, now or 50, 100, 200 years ago, you'd quickly turn back. It's much better for us, I won't lie but if we didn't and still don't fight for any of it, it's not a given that it's our right to have anything.
