Is it safe to say if they would have NOT knocked, Taylor would be alive?

They knocked, yell who they are, then break down the door.
This gives Taylor's boyfriend time to find a gun and prepare for them to come through the door and start a gun fight.
I don't know what would have happened but if they go up, knocked the door down in one hit, charge in, there's a chance they catch them just waking up and not having time to grab a gun.

He would be alive and headed to Medical School.

No, but it's safe to say if she wasn't hanging around with a thug she probably would be still alive today.

Been saying that from the beginning = the sudden entrance would hav put the police in the position of determining the next move rather than having to respond to an attack.
Once they have made to noise to batter down the door they could have announce POLICE - COME OUT NOW or whatever their protocol is - the inhabitants can then made a reasoned decision - to fight or comply. Either way, Breonna would have survived unless she participated in the fight.
Not an advocate of no-knock warrants but in this case it would have prevented a tragic death - UNLESS she was actually 'not innocent' and was actively resisting the police presence.

/\ THIS /\ is the basic TRUTH of the whole affair.
Black moms need to update that "talk" they say they have with their children.

Have they released a sketch of the apartment? Really want to see how long the hall was, where the bathroom and bedroom are, and where the sliding glass door off the patio faces in the apartment.

Shouldn't been banging a piece of shite.
She knew the risk she was in. Clearly an educated girl. Afforded all the privileges in life and some. She chose to hang out in a dangerous environment.
This is squarely on her.

this scenario can be a tough call for a black person, depending on the neighborhood and the person's social paradigms. Assume you live in a crime ridden neighborhood infested with drug dealers and gangbangers. It is 2AM in the morning and you hear bang, bang, bang on the door, "police open up". Unless you have a smart camera on the door, you don't know if it is police or some gangbangers pretending to be police. Plus, everyone you know and admire (like A-holes Lebron James & Colin Kapernick) CNN, MSNBC, etc. say that police are, "hunting down" blacks and executing them in the street. How would you not be terrified? Sure it was stupid for Breonna Taylor's new boyfriend to open fire but he probably thought, "do or die". Also, Breonna Taylor was an idiot for screwing some drug dealer who used her address as a drop for drugs. There is a lot of stupid, paranoia and mis-information to go around in this scenario.
I just know how I felt when I was moving some furniture out of my parent's house in the middle of broad daylight, walked out the door carrying a chest of drawers only to find 2 police cars with 4 cops, guns drawn pointing at me, for no good reason except some paranoid demented old neighborhood busy body called the cops to say my parents house was being ransacked.
