I think examples of both would include:
May Day liberals in Seattle and Portland for the left
and
the sovereign citizen movement on the right
There's a very thin line between the two but both are far from the middle of what we would call conservative or moderate liberal. I will say that libs do a better job at tolerating their shitty behavior. I just want to throat punch both sets of those annoying POSs.

I don’t believe that the spectrums meet. I think It runs from totalitarian to anarchy.
I think the extreme of leftism is totalitarianism (whether secular (ex. Communism) or religious (ex. Sharia Law)). Leftists are collectivists. They want us all to be the same.
I think the extreme right is anarchy. No rules at all regulating behavior whether secular (criminal) or spiritual. Anarchy is dangerous bc it can descend in to violence, and no other protections for the vulnerable from psychos. That said. One wacko, is less dangerous than a tribe of them.

The Merriam Webster definition of anarchy is:
a
: absence of government
b
: a state of lawlessness or political disorder due to the absence of governmental authority
The absence of government or authority can be either right or left.

You can argue this in theory but in practice they both end in the same place.. oppression..

Anarchism as a political thought cane about in the early 1800’s in The International where it’s founder (Bakunin I believe) battled for intellectual domain and power over the group with Marx
Bakunin’s final work where he details anarchy and the state’s relationship. He was an avowed leftist

Is an anarchist on the left or right of the political spectrum?
The one-dimensional spectrum is simply not the right tool for measuring that characteristic.
Look at a 2-dimensional Nolan chart, if you want a tool that will measure the characteristic in question.

They exist on the crazy end, which can encompass either right or left.
