Interracial couples in ads
I have no problem with this at all.

In fact, in a world where General Milley proclaims Jan 6th to be about White Supremacy, and Teacher Unions are attempting to shove CRT down our kids' throats as a needed counter to supposedly "inherent racism", the fact that market-driven ads carry a completely antithetical message is actually a refreshing truth.

They actually tone down the interracial ads for prominent games.

If you watch regular season NFL it’s always a way higher % of mixed race couples than it is during the Super Bowl. Likely intentional. I remember one week last last season (like week 15 or 16) literally 18 out of 20 commercials had interracial couples

but in the slate of ads I reviewed, there were a good bit of bumbling females/incompetent-acting minorities, white males portrayed as good guys, etc. Also, I'm not sure the IR relationship portrayals are as high as some perceive--I was truly looking for them a lot of the time.

I looked at your summaries and, without reviewing the ad myself, your plot summaries support your conclusion here. I'm talking about broadly.

Good news - the Superbowl is the elite tier ads - so maybe general trends may move in another direction.

No question there is some of this going on. I have no idea how many ads I completely tune out. Here lately, I get A LOT of attorney advertising on my Youtube videos. I mean "a lot" a lot. And as I used to be in an advertising firm, I find it no end of entertaining.

That's a great point--I hadn't considered that angle, really.

As in, that which we're individually more sensitive to/conditioning ourselves to see, we tend to notice more.

Also, what gets mentioned more gets noticed more. Similar to the white pickup truck spotted at every crime scene - there are plenty of white pickups out there, but enough news reports that include them, and which of the numerous vehicles does everyone notice?

I don't believe that to be the case. Often SB ads are the ground floor for long-running ad campaigns from those same companies.

I watch NFL regularly. It's generally the same mix of commercials. However, feel free to chart commercials during the course of a game, and I'd love to review that data with you.

Two nights ago, if you must know. My wife and I enjoy sex very much (especially now that we're no longer trying to procreate--pure recreation now ).

Any more BBC questions?

That was kind of the fun part about this whole exercise for me--it'd been awhile since I'd purposefully tuned INTO ads instead of actively skipping them or just tuning them out. As saturated as the ad market is now, companies have to compete pretty hard to be noticed in the space.

Just tell us what your motivation was. Why would you lie and say it was completely unprompted?

It's just disingenuous. It makes you hard to take seriously.
