Well no kidding. That's like saying "well if you took away NYC, Trump would win New York state." Illinois is conservative, other than Chicago. Washington is conservative, other than Seattle. Trump is not going to win Oregon or even come close, because of Portland and Eugene, where most of the state lives.

Interal polling is not worth the paper it is printed on. Any DC party strategist can tell you internals are designed to be released to motivate turnout.

He should take it right to them and go to California once a month for a MAGA rally. Offer to debate anybody that wants some. He'd destroy. Probably wouldn't win Cali, but he'd force them to go in there and deal with the reality of that state which they simply do not have to do as long as it's a lock for Democrats. He could hurt them.

I keep floating what I call the City State Solution to our current situation.
See most people are making a mistake when they talk about possible splitting the US up.
What we do is spin off Portland, Eugene, Chicago, Seattle, many others... into independent City States. They can trade with each other, form a Hanseatic League thing, their own country, whatever man.
Don't know how they are going to do it with big, beautiful walls around them, no transport corridors through the REAL America, that sort of thing.
