Probably because there hasn't been a real need until now. Think about it, unless you are overtly racist FB and Twitter aren't going to bother you. Ann Coulter has been dog whistling to white nationalists for years and she is still tweeting away all the time. Lauren Southern and Brittany Pettibone (IWHI) still tweet and their dog whistle is even louder than Coulter's.
I think they went after Jones because they see him as "fake news" and want to nip it in the bud after the 2016 election stuff. If Jones were just an individual saying what he says, I doubt they would care. The problem is he claims to be running a "news" organization.
At any rate, I feel if FB becomes really draconian and begins banning lots of people for mainstream center of right views, you're going to see alternatives pop up pretty quickly. And they will be successful.
