This shite was going on way before instagram and tiktok. The age 40+ feminists laid the groundwork and are enough positions of power and influence that almost every "influential" female voice over 40 reinforces this behavior and pretends that all the other miserable cat ladies out there don't really exist.

I don't know if it's a nature/nurture type thing. It might have to do with little girls being raised with kid gloves. Perhaps if they were treated like boys and weren't coddled, they would develop differently. I just don't know.
