I think people will gravitate towards news based on their beliefs politically. That is what they see, so that is what they believe. I'm pretty hardcore right, but time to time, I will watch left news. I can't take much in without frustration, but for the sake of open mindness... I do try.
Also, I take breaks from all news at times, everything is soooooooooo negative from both sides.

All liberals are clueless about current events regarding our country. So at least 50% of the population is completely clueless.

I think 5% of RINO’s is to low. Most 50 plus republicans still watch FOX News. A lot if these people have it on all day in the background and Democrats have CNN on in the background. During the day my parents have had some type of news on for 25 plus years.
I think older people do this because they grew up with 2 or 3 TV channels and only got to watch national news once a day and 60 minutes on Sunday. My parents would set the VCR to record if they were not going to be at home. My grandparents had the radio on all day.
My kids started watching movies, TV, and YouTube with their friends on VR.
It is a generational thing and right now a lot of the 50 plus age groups gets their news from cable.
