You don't sack Paris in 6 weeks by dying from a little head cold.

How many of the 261 actually had to be hospitalized?

Exactly, the infection rate is most likely 10X that number

Exactly. It's minuscule if one looks at the big picture.

And half the hospitalizations needing ICU may or may not suffer from the same denominator problem.

MN has ~240 ICU beds. So mathmagician how many beds do you need if 2% of MN's population contract the 'Chinese Virus' and 2% of those infected need an ICU bed?
I'll save you while you fumble with your abacus, its over 2000.

And here's the news out of Michigan:

Beaumont Health is caring for 635 patients with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 who are putting pressure on the eight-hospital system as it nears capacity for staffing, protective equipment and ventilators, the Royal Oak-based health system said Tuesday.
The health system is sometimes transferring patients between hospitals to find space and is beginning to convert some operating rooms into intensive care units, Beaumont Health Chief Operating Officer Carolyn Wilson said in a statement.
“We have been actively transferring COVID-19 patients within our system to other Beaumont hospitals, as appropriate, if one hospital has more capacity than another," Wilson said. "However, across our system, we are facing limitations and nearing capacity with our staffing, personal protective equipment and mechanical ventilators."
