With all precincts reporting, Keisha Lance Bottoms appeared to have won the Atlanta mayor’s race, beating Mary Norwood.
Unofficial returns showed that Bottoms garnered 759 more votes than Norwood in the runoff election on Tuesday – a virtual repeat of the 2009 race when Mayor Kasim Reed defeated Norwood by 714 votes.
Norwood was unwilling to concede. She said that the absentee military ballots wouldn’t be counted until Thursday, that the campaign did not know how many provisional votes had been cast, and that it was unclear if votes from two precincts in recently annexed areas of DeKalb County had been counted.
“We can’t call this yet,” Norwood said, shortly after midnight to supporters. Norwood said that she would also ask for a recount.
At the same time Norwood was speaking, Bottoms was declaring victory at the Hyatt Regency in downtown.
“This is about Atlanta,” Bottoms said. “And what we said from Day One is that this is about what we hope this city can be for our children’s children.”

It's ok, a mayor who doesn't hate the police and who pays their city water bills was a lot to ask

8 years later and the same exact razor thin margin, almost down to the vote.
It's almost like it was rigged or something.

Bottoms' Twitter is embarrassing for anybody interested. Her entire campaign was that Norwood was a female Trump because she's white and the black peoples of Atlanta can't have that. Of course the retards ate it up.
No doubt there is a shitload of fraud going on.

Crazy how south Atlanta turns out in bigger numbers than NW/NE for a runoff

Can't have a whitey elected as Mayor of Atlanta. Pretty sure it is on a billboard somewhere

shite weather and traffic didn't help either but the machine is difficult to take down.
LOTS of elderly AA's in South Atlanta that get bussed
to the polls.

Thankfully a couple other races important to me swung in the final moments and saved our part of town's influence.
So Keisha will probably make sure that people's doors keep getting kicked in in Buckhead, but hopefully nothing else will get too much worse.

I am in ATL right now.
Probably been here 283 times, and it just never stops being a complete failure of suckiness.

Other than sporadic violent/property crime (in other words "felt" crime that isn't necessarily indicative of a real crime wave) and increasing SJW influence, Atlanta is probably at an all time high.
Sure, traffic sucks and the sports are miserable, but it's a better place to live and work than it has been in decades.

Emory and the CDC requested to be annexed by the city.

What about the residents who live there and pay property taxes? And most of the people I know that work
at the CDC don't live near the area.
Or is this just the property that both the facilities occupy?
