I don't really recall that but I'll take your word for it.

frick that

how can the guilty even know to respond, without examples of who on this board was "livid?" and i highly doubt anyone at all (let alone the entire board) was so angry for such a generic reason as "making Bush such an issue."

the OP is shite. what is the point of making a thread accusing "this board" of feeling a certain way, and of hypocrisy, without substantiating it at all?

downvoted.

I wasn't here then, but I doubt he will find one dated in the 2008 election cycle to back up what he is saying.

Maybe a year or two later he might, but not 2008. Nothing of significance or on the scale he is implying anyway.

if anything, the phrase "making Bush such an issue" is meant to be an equivocation- whatever examples of anger that can be found will be more like what jcole said, and they certainly will not have been shown by the entire board

Who cares! Politics like the NFL is a copy cat league!

However your claim about this board is not founded. To use your posts last night concerning New York and how how friendly the state is towards business..... Jut because a small amount of people hold thy belief doesn't make it true!

if you weren't here then how the hell would you know?

I actually just went to look but of course it will only let me go 100 pages back. If someone knows how to search through the 2008 poli board archives i will go ahead and do it just to prove you people wrong. It was a huge thing on here at this time and anyone who was around knows it.

this board pretty much detested Bush by the election

JT, Col Hap, et al had a conniption fit after TARP

they were leading the charge to contact local GOP congressmen to tell them not to support the legislation

Silly thread.

Obama himself was making Bush an issue during the 2008 campaign. Witness:

quote:

“I taught constitutional law for ten years. I take the Constitution very seriously. The biggest problems that were facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all, and that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m President of the United States of America.”

Because I was on other boards and hardly anyone was upset over Bush being used to win an election. I would bet that was the case here. Which is why you still haven't provided any links to back up your bullshite OP.

Feel free to prove me wrong.
