You seem triggered by a pretty good piece of advice. Why are you against young people saving money for their healthcare?

"Triggered" is a brand new colloquialism of phags, when it's used in earnest and not tongue-in-cheek..

See the post right before yours for a clue. . .

Ok, why the vitriol (is that ok with you?) in your response to ol Dillo? Are you not ok with HSAs?
And you can be a grownup and spell out the word. Phags is so jr high school.

When I typed out a response I got the ubiquitous STOP sign when you or any other mod is interfering in a thread.

Play stupid all you like.

I know others have experienced the same thing.

If people got off the goyslop and got into the squat rack all the hospitals would go out of business

Man I am not a mod, nor have I done anything to the thread. I guess just continue to think saving money for health care down the road is a bad move.

I guess just continue to think drugs and knives are the best programs for keeping yourself alive.

You fear death.

I don't.

Congrats.

3.5 more years to get there. Haven't had medical since summer of 2020 after losing my job to the scamdemic. Fell in the last few hired, first laid off category. Been blessed so far, rarely get a sniffle especially since learning what a farce virology is. Losing that fear has helped a lot. The power of our thinking. Now it's pretty simple, eat good food, exercise and maintain a healthy outlook as much as possible,.

Good grief man. I don't fear death. I actually embrace it at this point in my live. And, I'll say if you do dumb shite as a kid/young adult and tear up your body well no amount of "limiting your inflammation" is gonna help.

I guess you have successfully treated yourself for a ruptured appendix? Or you exercised and dieted away a broken ankle that needed replacement 50 years later? Or maybe you were able to do enough squats to heal a broken shoulder and torn rotator?

Then keep on keeping on. You will most likely live the best life.

So... I guess I'm confused. You are arguing that people a) don't need medical insurance, b) don't need to set aside money for HSA's because... phooey that stupid crap of planning ahead and setting money aside and c) don't need healthcare and instead need to eat right and keep inflammation down and everything should be hunky-dory?

That basically sum up your advice?

Or you know. Just have a “qualifying life event” or wait for the exchange to open. The exchange policies cannot deny you based on a pre-existing condition. It’s one of the reasons health insurance has skyrocketed.

Another thing to possibly consider is just getting a better job with better benefits. Unfortunately, med ins. through work is still the paradigm in this country. I work for a defense contractor and all of our health insurance is paid 100%. No premiums except for a small co-pay at the doctor's office ($30).

My wife has auto-immune rheumatoid arthritis (she's had it since she was 16, we're in our 50s/40s now). So we have to have decent insurance. Last 4 employers I've had have had great insurance. Just have to look for it and be willing to work at those type of companies.

The cost of health care is outrageous, forcing many to decide between insurance and the things they need to survive. I would think about this very hard before making a decision. Whatever you decide, I hope it works out for you.
