I wouldn’t be able to agree with that. Let’s consider one single example, just on Trump’s watch alone: The dismantling of Kasem Sulejmani (figuratively and literally)…..did that very notable “disruption” in Iran’s terror training/program network ultimately save American lives, particularly military ones? I mean, of course it’s a bit difficult to actualize that in hard numbers, for obvious reasons. But I personally think it would be pretty naive to opine that that action, again, “just” a single action at that, didn’t/doesn’t produce a positive effect down range, so to speak.

This IMO is much cleaner than the way we got involved against Assad in Trump’s first term.
