As touched on in a post yesterday: "When will they ever learn; when will they ever learn". As the song suggested, "They will never learn"
(("Where Have All The Flowers Gone?") The first 3 verses were written by Pete Seeger; last 2 added by Joe Hickerson in 1960. This made it a "circular" song, returning in the end to the flowers.
Sung by Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul and Mary, The Kingston Trio, and others. It was VERY popular during the Vietnam war. There is much more info on Wikipedia.)
I was an artillery battery commander in Vietnam, not a pacifist, but "Where did all the flowers go" is one on my all-time favorite songs. Most of those I like as well as this were recorded by Mama Maybell's son-in-law.

Of course he’s the odds on favorite right now since every other candidate has to win a primary first. It’s not a horse race where everyone is leaving from the same gate.
