My friends are mostly acquaintances first and foremost. I have one good friend that I trust to a fairly deep level. Most of these are complex beings and even those of whom I suspect of a far left leaning are not social savages.
The social savages are touched and anyone who considers themselves an activist over anything is touched in the head and can't be my friend.
I have a cousin who's wife is on Facebook proudly declaring she's a biden supporter. However My Uncle funnels them money every month paid their kids dues at Athens Academy (which ain't cheap). She's a third grade teacher public school and they are always flat broke. He has an MBA in a science field but would rather walk the Athens coffee shops all day waiting on a temp professor gig with UGA rather than working full time in his discipline.
Liberalism is a disease but social juicy liberalism is a pox bestowed upon an unfortunate society.
