Meemaw has yet another scandal on her hands. Was Bourbon Street and hitting two pedestrians with her police car not enough to boot her arse?
Although she’s probably the best New Orleans can hope for.

It’s amazing how fast everything you love about New Orleans can turn one of the once greatest cities in the world into a lawless shite hole. I don’t understand how people let this happen.
Colleges create those who feel like the poor and criminals are the same.
Those people run for office and tell the poor policing is bad.
The police then are prevented from enforcement of the law, and the criminals rich and poor drag life into the toilet.

The biggest problem in every part of the nation is the shite judges and DAs. Nothing is prosecuted, and the little that isn’t dropped or pled down results in a slap on the wrist.
Every story is the same. X was arrested 50 times and every time the DA chose not to prosecute. It’s not the cops.

Yup it starts with X is dead at 28, and ends with he was a suspect in the shooting death of Y.
Those urban colleges turned out those DAs and Judges with their views, Just like the mayors who hired their bosses.

Shouldn't police departments do background checks on potential new hires? Honestly, how did his immigration status never come up?
Some departments even require psych evals. This is fricking embarrassing for NOPD and the city. Something should be done, but it won’t be because it’s New Orleans.

And illegals don’t vote. Hah!

Isn't that the old, dumb-assed woman at the helm of the NOPD? The same one who looked foolish after the terrorist attack on Bourbon Street a while back?
Maybe this incompetent puppet should be relieved of her duty and taken to an assisted living home.

It looks like La. R.S. 38:2212.10, our e-verification requirement, only applies to private employers on public works contracts. Sounds like the typical "rule for thee, but not rules for me". I do think the public policy stated in Paragraph A of the statute at the link is well articulated, but it should be extended to employment by the state and its political subdivisions and other contractors with the state if the Legislature really "walks the walk".
