This is verified that she changed her birthdate. What does this mean for her citizenship status? But I'm sure we will have some legal eagles in here to set it straight that this is all ok.

quote:

In other words, potentially LYING TO OBTAIN CITIZENSHIP.

BOOM.

Omar says she got citizenship through her father in 2000, BEFORE she turned 18. But if she was actually born in 1981, she would have been too old for that to happen!

Federal agents searched her D.C. home as part of a criminal investigation. Was this part of it? ??

THE CASE IS COMING TOGETHER AND SHE NEEDS TO BE DEPORTED.

Ilhan screwed up big time and justice is finally here! No one is above the law

Maybe there should just be a stickied catch-all thread for Ilhan Omar's bullshite. There are a lot of different stories out there about this con artist at this point.

That one year difference was the difference between whether or not she would gain citizenship through her father. It looks like she isn't a legal US citizen.

Statute of limitations. She lied about her age but there is nothing we can do about it now. You know who.

Would her past votes as an elected official be nullified?

Listen, we have to have stone cold incontrovertible evidence before we can discuss this on a message board.

Almost certainly not. This due to the "De Facto Officer Doctrine."

quote:

This doctrine holds that the official acts of an officer (including a legislator or judge) who exercises the duties of an office under "color of title" (meaning they were duly elected, certified, and sworn in) are valid, even if it is later discovered that the official was legally disqualified or ineligible to hold that office.

The Logic: Invalidating years of legislation, laws, or roll-call votes would cause mass legal chaos. Every statute passed by a single-vote margin, every committee proceeding, and every law enacted during her tenure would be thrown into court battles. To prevent systemic breakdown, the law treats the actions taken while she was serving as legally binding.

When she called World War 2 World War Eleven that should have been our first clue that she wasn't an actual citizen.

I doubt her votes were anywhere near being a tie breaker or significant. She’s just a vote and mouthpiece like most of them

They should actually make that a priority question on the citizenship test

If she isn't a legal US citizen, and it's true that she has been bilking US taxpayer money and using it to support terrorists, does that make her an enemy combatant and subject to military tribunal?

Would be interesting but even a foreign status gives her more due process than you and I have. Look at Hassan and the simps that follow that now.

There is no statute of limitations for revocation of her citizenship. If she committed fraud to become a citizen, that could be used to revoke her citizenship.

Meaning, just because you became a us citizen, it doesn't mean you have that status for life.

quote:

The primary legal grounds to revoke citizenship under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA § 340) are:

1. Illegal Procurement of Naturalization

• Definition: The person was not actually eligible for U.S. citizenship at the time it was granted.
• Details: This happens if the individual failed to meet any statutory requirement—such as lacking continuous physical presence, lawful permanent resident status, good moral character, or proper attachment to the U.S. Constitution. It applies even if the person made an innocent mistake rather than an intentional lie.

USCIS.gov

ETA: Assuming she actually wasnt eligible through her dad because of her age that she supposedly lied about.
