If your school has Social Emotional Learning (SEL) they are being taught CRT

Here's the one taught in our district.
Character Strong
Wake up, people. It is already in your schools.

Yes, exactly. People are too trusting and not suspicious enough. There is nothing more precious than our kids, and we send them into the lion's den all day every day.

So a conservative started the controversy?
This is the problem. Conservative are finally pushing back on something for once, and the left blames our criticism of it for its controversy. Truly remarkable.

I find it hilarious that the equity teachers seem to hate white conservative men. The hypocrisy knows no bounds.

OP...have you looked at the new TX anti-CRT law? It's apparently written in a way to try to catch things by different names. Just wondering your thoughts in if this SEL stuff would be caught in it or not.

Equity is bullshite.
In “the sell”, equity is overcoming factors outside of your control.
In reality, it is taking from people with good behaviors and giving to others regardless of behaviors.
In Marxism’s sell in capitalism, you can sit on your arse and get equity with those that work.
In socialism, you get the gulag.
Classic bait and switch, hoping the people are as dumb as the leaders hope they are.

I'll have to read up on that. In theory, SEL should fall into that group, but it takes diligent parents working to fight their school districts.
Our school bought this Character Strong curriculum last summer. I was part of the Parent Organization and they asked us to fund it. My husband and I brought all this info to the other members of the group and we declined to purchase it for our school. They went and found funding elsewhere. So, it's technically not even on the books of our budget nor is it a class for a grade. It's a constant battle. I'm gathering info and looking into which state rep will be most likely to help me with this fight.

They are a devious bunch and fighting dirty. Good luck on your fight.
I think groups of local retirees/grandparents that have nothing to do can be the most helpful bunch to team up with. Build up that as a local collation.
Btw - here's an article with a video of a teacher upset about the new TX law. Definitely a hard fight.
