He just used it as a reference, he didn't even call someone n!gger.

Like if someone says "I hate when people say n!gger" does that mean they also are racist?

I get that it's rude to call someone a n!gger, but for a word to be absolutely banned from even referencing is a bridge too far for me.

I'm not black.
The "n-word" is something I've never used.
Ever.

Mainly because I associate it as a low-class racially-based derisive. I associate folks using it as garbage. I've always been uncomfortable with the term even as a kid, even when used in humor, or even by blacks targeting one another. Though in the latter case, as I am comfortable with the term "white trash", at least I can better relate.

Long way of saying I'd not expect to ever find myself in a situation where, even in an act, I'd use the term.

Yet the same word blares out in one rap song after another, often in public from vehicles at c-stores and parking lots and no one is ofended.

Does anyone know exactly what he said in what context. If not, it’s pretty hard to decide definitively

Do they not say the nword? Of course, and they use it in a derogatory manner toward other black people.

Not saying everyone does, but I can link as many videos of them using it as you like.

I've never encountered a black friend, associate, or employee using the term. Not once.
