The country would be better off if everyone served 2 yrs in the military. A lot of parents these days have no business raising a hamster, much less children. The armed forces could provide structure and discipline to those sorely lacking both.

Iran is the only possibility.
We won’t have a draft unless we are attacked by a major power, and in that case id support it. It should only be used in the event we are in dire danger from another aggressive power

Just because you don't agree with it, doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Most of the stuff we get in has ended up making people rich (politicians and corporations), but it has had positive effects post wars. We use our military strength to control situations. If we don't get involved, it could cause other issues. Again, it may not be in your belief, or others, but we must stick up for others and ourselves.
Its quite disappointing and disturbing of what is going on in our government. I'm all for diversity and youth in our government, but we have some stupid people in power who are muslims or just plain idiots.
I will say as an OIF & OEF veteran that I'm not the most supportive of Bush, and feel like OIF could've been handled better. However, OEF is pretty important and it's not a bad thing. It does need to end soon though. Obama didn't help that though.

I got pounded for criticizing the man for proposing that the government get back in the FDR era grain buying business. An out and out practice to manipulate markets and prices that no conservative should support.
