No. I'm saying we have to cut SS/Medicare outlays and maintaining SS/Medicare tax receipts, along with lots of other spending cuts
quote:By bitching about every report of fraud being identified and removed. Yeah, you are.
That is an outright lie. I'm saying we need to cut more than just that

honestly can't believe people still respond to you. Clearly an activist. Not a good one either. You have SOME fooled though...but my guess is that more and more just skip right over your tired bs.
I have posted the actual numbers multiple times.
Where do you think we can cut other than SS/Medicare to balance the budget?

Not gonna happen. In reality a lot of Americans who have paid into the Social Security system for 40-50 years will never see the payout they should have.
when it was enacted, it should have gone into an individual account that can't be touched until a certain age, etc. You should have been allowed to manage it if you wanted to, or allow someone else to manage it. Counting in employee matching, I would have well over $2M right now, and probably closer to $3m. I'll never see anywhere close to that.

You recommend cutting SS then you'll cry about "Trump taking the elderly's SS"
No. I've criticized Trump for his policy planks on "protecting" SS/ Medicare for some time.

you tumpies, sure are proud of your leader . First you starve children, yeah, you starve children. Crying for sleep, so they can wake up crying, for food.
I don’t see American children starving. Quite the opposite, obesity is a major issue.
Where do you see starving American children? The taxpayer provides free breakfast, lunch, after school meals, summer meals, regular food support, and in some cases weekend meals.
So much aid, in fact, that some jackass posted here a few months ago that he/his family was getting free food aid, and he didn’t even need it. He just accepted it because it was free.

Another lie
I've long maintained the problem with celebrating crumbs reported as DOGE-adjacent was specifically that it was a distraction from having the real discussion about our deficit. You're proving my point in real time.
The largest discovery allegedly from DOGE is from a report released about a year ago by the regular GAO. And in my napkin math earlier, I incorporated those numbers.

This deficit is larger today because of the higher interest payments.
Cut all non-defense discretionary spending and save 0.92T
Slash the military by half and you save 0.4T
Add in the $236B in waste (which give a double benefit to the reduction as it accounts for lots of waste in the non-discretionary and half military budgets)
Still running a deficit
Spoiler: we aren't cutting non-military spending to $0 and cutting the military budget anywhere close to 50%.
I bolded it for you.

Do you have a thought on the subject? Or is this just another flippant remark by a pussy?

10 years ago these dipshits would agree with you. Now since the Donald has this issue in limbo, they'll attack any stance based on the premise its simply an attack on their King.
They have changed. Their stances have shifted simply due to allegiance to a Huckster.

It's not just because of Trump
10 years ago, they were 10 more years away from getting SS

Looks like SS will need more tax revenue, a higher age of retirement and means testing. Who knows what and the hell is going on in Medicare payouts? In the deepest darkest recessions of the past two decades, I always saw bigger and nicer hospitals and clinics being built.

There is that too. I'm like 4 years away myself and agree it needs to be reformed badly.

Yep. This board is now actively and enthusiastically cheering on a wanna be dictator and kind (in his own mind only). It is disgusting.
Good work, Roger.

Hopefully they cut it to people that have never paid in a dime and increase it to those that have worked and paid in all their adult lives.
