Maybe y'all can find a few more statues to topple and a few more targets to loot and that will do it.

They say things come in threes. Our economy has hit a pandemic roadblock and a riotous/looting roadblock yet our economy appears ready to bounce back. Any ideas on what roadblock number three might be before November?

The Dow is clearly racist to be going up while black people are dying in the streets

Yeah, I made a huge mistake of pulling out......I really thought the market would be rebounding bigly by late summer, I just never thought it would sustain all the bad indicators.

What do I know.

What you have is a USSR system, the Fed/government is picking winners and loser... there is nothing great about this. Heck, if you print trillions the stock market will go up, the problem is free enterprise has been completely destroyed.

Here is the Venezuela stock index for a comparison.

My guess is all of this will end very badly.

my 401k is pacing faster than the stock market for recovery. I am above what it was back in late december beginning of january before it started going down.

Yeah, they really aren't thinking things through. The stock market is trading like they do in third world countries = success.

Its very bizarre. They say people were partying when Rome was burning, I tend to believe that actually might be true every time I see this stock is up stuff. The stock market is going up because the fed is buying up stuff, not because of economic activity - much of the system doesn't even exist.

you guys celebrating this really don't get it. sure, i want my 401k and everything else up too. but i don't want socialized equities. i want REAL growth, GDP, employment, and prosperity. we hate government handouts and welfare....well what do you think this is? printing money to pump stocks. it is NOT political. it is now necessary because if stocks go down reality takes over and everything collapses.

central banks printed us out of 2008 and have done nothing but escalate and amplify. it's only working because the dollar is the world reserve currency...for now. puts it in a VERY perilous position. i don't know why this board is so against trying understand what's happening. makes the libertarian in me die inside.
