Because stingers and javelins can't fly to Moscow at 1500mph with a payload of bombs. Two dramatically different weapons. Lots of talking heads and politicians saying they don't see the difference.

Uh, no.

Ukraine already had/has them, and could do that if they wanted.

Know why they don’t? They wouldn’t make it 10 mi in Russian airspace with S400s. Heck, they might even have S500s.

Moscow isn’t worried about being bombed. They are worried about their columns on Ukraine roads getting obliterated, and the west is deathly afraid of Putin if his troops get mowed down.

Would this be why the US and Poland are fricking with each other over those Polish MiGs which are supposed to be delivered to Ukraine?

I agree. Didn't say they would make it. Pointing out how dramatically different the threat is from a fighter jet vs. people running around with single shot rockets.

People are trying to say that jets aren't more escalatory than bazookas. Terrible argument.

Bingo.

If they were smart, they would have done it on the down-lo like Putin did In Afghanistan and Iraq to us. Let him get a taste of his own medicine.

But no. We have to tell the world we are afraid.

Because you can train a reasonably intelligent person to use a stinger or javelin in 6 weeks and the return on investment makes sense for both parties.

Closer to 6 minutes.

If Ronald Reagan or Trump was in office I think it’s safe to say Ukraine wouldn’t have had to beg for those Migs. Reagan and Trump would have just sent those jets to Ukraine without having a whole discussion about the issue in the media. Why the Biden White House wants to advertise our every move to our enemies I do not know. They either tell the bad guys what our every move is going to be or blab to the bad guys everything we know. These people are so dangerous.

Closer to 6 minutes.

But virtual training takes longer.
