White folks are losing interest in politics and voting. Yet, whites still constitute three-fourths of the electorate and nine in 10 Republican votes.
This. I work with a guy who didn’t even have a clue who our governor is, let alone votes. He can tell you who won the Heisman in 1974 or the last time Alvin Kamara took a shite, but zilch about who is representing him in government. It’s worse with women. Real Housewives, Kardashians, Pinterest, social media, etc. The general public couldn’t care less about our political scene, so they either vote for who the sports/entertainment industrial complex tells them to, or do not vote at all.
Idiocracy is turning more into a documentary than a comedy....

Why should it be illegal to bring people to the polls?
It should not be illegal, what should be illegal is rewarding them with a prize for doing it. You should vote as it being your civic duty, not because you are getting a cash in your pocket or a lunch out of it.

Is there any proof to this?
Been hearing this claim for years, but never have seen any proof.

Is there anything stopping Republicans from doing the same thing?
Their voters' self reliance?

Yes. Everywhere.
First link when you Google "free ride to polls with lunch"

It's amazin ghow this is "pretty well established," yet all these thousands of notional buses and sheets of instructions manage to pass through our cities without anyone in this age of ubiquitous video cameras ever catching sight of one. How on Earth do they do this? Have Democrats cracked the secret of Klingon-style cloaking devices? Are they using secret tunnels through the planet's core?

Getting rid of early voting would help solve this issue
