If a 25% tariff on any one country can cause this much uproar

We might want to rethink our dependence on a foreign nation, a communist one no less. I’m not looking at one party either. This is the stupidity of globalism.

If we really wanted to "hurt China", we should be doing everything possible here to be lowering compliance costs and red tape on businesses.
Worldwide trade is a good thing. The real problem is that our government makes us compete w/ both hands tied behind our backs.

Trump backed out of twisting China to up the value of the Yuan. He was campaigning on it but gave it up in return for China helping with Kim nk.
Yuan value is the long-term correct approach. It was the reason I was ok with his winning. Like all his big promises he lied.

I’m sure you are ok with all of the Ds tax plans (incomes, wealth, etc.) on the higher earners and wealthiest individuals, because they could just make less money or have less wealth.

Are you under the impression it's the responsibility of the American taxpayer to "prop up" another country ?
When foreign countries end their tariffs against our products and we don't stop retaliatory tariffs , then and only then , will you globalists have a legitimate complaint.
End ALL tariffs.

Global supply chain who are still relying on China are fricked but those who have migrated out of China are the big winners here. With that said China can't survive this if it goes on for an extended time.
