Given he as issued a final removal order I highly doubt his work permit was valid.
Door Dash and all these other companies who hire people like this should at least require checks on the validity of their status of their work permit monthly given the millions who are being removed.

They miss the appt because they know they will be deported because they filed some bullshite excuse for asylum in the first place.

It shouldn't delay his departure, but you never know. The case is being decided by a Clinton-appointed judge.
I looked into the U-visa requirements:
-certification by law enforcement that the applicant is needed as a witness for a trial (not happening on federal level...maybe state?)
-discretionary approval of an arm of DHS (NEVER going to happen)

I am not a "chief". I am a retired officer.
My point was OP had no facts. Did he have/brandish a weapon that would warrant the officer making a shoot legal.
Read the case law and you will see that shoot absolutely legit if stated above is true.
Running on no factual basis make no sense.

There's no Kristi Noem around to lie about "brandishing a weapon." The DHS hasn't even claimed that Perez was using his vehicle as a weapon.
