I was just informed my gas range and gas furnace could be killing me.

According to scientists the use of natural gas for heating and cooking is likely causing asthma in young children and cancer in older adults.
Scientists report benzene is found in the residue of burning natural gas and it’s a known carcinogen.
This ^^^^ was reported on AM radio during the top of the hour news break on the local Fox affiliate today.
I wonder if there’s a motive beyond the concerns for our health? Hmm…I wonder?
O&G bad!

Yeah lets focus on this carcinogen while allowing food to be processed with all fillers, artificial flavors, and dyes.
ETA: Natty gas has been used since around 1785 but just now we see a rise in asthma in children?

Bio-engineered ingredients. Check the label.

First off, how does a carcinogen cause asthma?
Second, unless your gas furnace has a leaking combustion chamber, your furnace isn't doing squat to your health.
Third, if your furnace does have a leak in the combustion chamber, then carbon monoxide will get you way before cancer.
Finally, whatever 'scientists' told you that are not dealing in science. Sounds to me like they are bought and paid for by the green lobby that wants us all living like cavemen, except cavemen used fire for heat and cooking.

The average diet in the U.S. will kill more than natty gas.

I prefer gas over electric but prefer induction over both
That said I do think gas ranges have more visual appeal when they're clean

Induction is pretty close to gas in heat control but I prefer gas

Ease of cleaning and quick boil are the main reasons I like induction but I certainly understand a personal preference for gas
Will definitely be doing induction again in my next house

My great uncle had gas heat and stove. He was a mechanic by trade and routinely washed parts in gasoline and breathed exhaust not scrubbed by catalytic converters. He died awhile back.........at 100 years old. Just think how long he would have lived had it not been for O&G...

They do this because it works. People hear this shite over and over and then they start repeating it.

I cooked with gas for decades. Then switched to glass top electric and I love it. Much easier clean up and learning to coast heat took me almost 2 minutes to master.
