Britain played C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity" on the radio during that time, if I am remembering correctly.

So he knew that the Nazis would call themselves transgenders and queers and whatever, and say that all these genders are proven by some kind of weird science. He was a man who saw the future.

Today’s Brits hate Churchill. We should have left those Limey cock suckers to fall.

And then promptly chose to become the most socialist country in West Europe immediately after the war.
Wartime promises and assurance of your freedoms and culture means nothing. Even Stalin embraced the Russian Orthodox Church as a war victory measure.

It's one of my favorite all time books.

There' a great book by Christopher Hitchen's brother, Peter, that describes the dark slide of Britain into the atheistic secular hellhole it's become today.
Great read. And spot on.

Pat Buchanan was right. Britain was foolish for their Polish guarantees. It was none of their business.
Yeah, congrats, you pulled the US into the war and defeated the Nazis. And destroyed your empire and became a back bench player in the process. Next to "Pyrrhic Victory" in the dictionary, there should be a collage photo from WWII, with Churchill in the middle.

You're right. Hitler was a misunderstood liberal genius.

We would have been goose stepping and eating sour kraut if we didn't join in WW2 when we did.

Compared to where we are heading that doesn’t sound too bad.

I actually think it's more this.
In a vague and indirect way, I suppose, the privilege of listening to your enemy trying to undermine you - the very night before you go to face him - expresses what we are fighting for. - Ernie Pyle 1944
I guess that you could say how ironic that today in the USA we are censored of information by high tech and the media that is actually keeping us from forming our own opinion, We are only given what they want us to know.

If you think this is prescient, read his thoughts on Bolshevism.
