Trump's opportunity to make any meaningful cuts was with the BBB. He did not take that opportunity. That is on him.
The GOP is the party in power and the deficit is growing. Not a good look when you are supposed to the the party of fiscal restraint.

The deficit has grown with every president no matter which party the are in.Its congresses job to set the budget not the president ,he can veto it but then people would complain about that.
