re: I support the war. Am I wrong?

• Iran has a strong desire to obtain a nuclear weapon, and to use it, if acquired.
• Iran’s nuclear enrichment capability was destroyed last year.
• The material Iran had already enriched may not have been destroyed.
• Iran will never stop trying to acquire nuclear weapons under the current regime.
• Iran has been rapidly building up its conventional weapons arsenal.
• Iran, at some point soon, will have a large enough arsenal of conventional weapons to prevent anyone from stopping them from rebuilding their nuclear enrichment capabilities.
• Israel was going to bomb Iran with or without us.
• If we didn’t participate, our bases in the ME would have been hit, and therefore, we’d still be heavily involved.
• Iran does not need the ability to strike the US mainland with any weapon to cause great harm to the US
Until proven false, I’m willing to accept all the above as truth.
I will as well.
But, there's no denying that what we (you, me) are doing is supporting the war in spirit only. The money used to pay for it is being printed, it isn't revenue.

And no, it’s not worse than dropping a bomb on American citizens.
Acute pain vs chronic pain, IMO.
To be clear, I didn't use the word "worse".

Interesting, so you believe the Dims are helping out in the coverup?

The "obliterated" part is confusing you because some people want you to be confused. Personally, I believe we did obliterate their centrifuges (or the vast majority of them) and the facilities they were operating in. But I think it's highly plausible that the already enriched uranium they had (60%) may not have been destroyed. Someone destroying your tools doesn't necessarily destroy the things you've already built with them.
I think language has been used loosely for sure. Which just adds to the confusion. Having enough uranium to make 11 bombs doesn't mean that it has been enriched to that level... but it could be interpreted that way. If Bessent is telling the truth our side is only going to interpret one way. I wouldn't find fault in that at all because the risk is far too great. That statement, if true, was the ultimate FAFO for Iran. But the ghost of WMDs is still out there and thus the skepticism from some.

Who is us? Who is them?

It's happening whether I like it or not. I have no say, which is don't like, but I cannot change it.
I understand why it's happening, and that my opinion is irrelevant in the big picture.
I support our troops and I support their efforts. I trust this administration far more than the last administration. FAR more.
As long as this doesn't drag out into another 20 year war in the burning hellscape of the middle-east, I'm fine with it. As long as we stay out of of it once the IDF and the people of Iran (possibly even the Kurds) take the ground game to the regime to free the country, I'm fine with it.
Now if we put battalions of boots on the ground, I'll have a pretty serious problem with that, though it's still just my irrelevant opinion. But my support for our troops won't end with that.
Iran has been increasingly aggressive and meddlesome since the W. Years and this crap eventually had to be addressed one way or another. I'd rather be handling it now than if it happened under Biden or in the future under Newsome. Just trying to maintain a personal stoicism on the topic.

So a fence rider then? Cute.
How do you complain “OMG how did we get here??!!” yet in the same breath are “not entirely opposed”.
Pick and side and own it ol’ chap.

Its a huge gamble that, if it pays off, will be the largest political play of my lifetime. I know "regime change" is a bad word in certain circles, but yes.. if you are going to go after a snake you have to make sure it is dead before you turn your back on it.
It could also turn to shite.
I absolutely support the effort and admire a President willing to put action to words rather than just saying "don't" like the previous administration.

You are not a Christian yourself. Do not try to represent one or critique someone who says he is.
You’re a viscous disgusting person.

Yes you're very wrong. If you're a Christian
People using "if you're Christian" like some trump card. Here is a moral dilemma for you:
risk 3,000 servicemen + any collateral casualties now.
OR
wait until Iran has a nuke and hits London killing millions of people?
You see, real life is complicated and full of trade offs so keep your "if you were a real Christian" bullshite to yourself. Once Iran has long range nuclear capabilities, they would be untouchable.

That is part of the argument against the war also. We gave them a valid reason to harm us.

No, I don’t think you’re wrong at all.
