And I bet Trump does too.

While it’s inefficient and in this partisanship climate I doubt it would be good because nothing could get done... but thinking about how much pressure it must’ve been on Trump to have to make a decision to kill 150 basically innocent people, is a hell of a task for one man to make himself.

Too bad Congress ripped up the constitution when they passed the War Powers Act which made them completely irrelevant for waging war.

War is the failure of diplomacy. Balance of power discourages failure in any one branch of government.

Without the third branch of our government (judicial) we would be totally fricked. That God the founders had enough foreknowledge to make them not elected officials.

Agreed, but the problem is when we would need action, they wouldn’t do shite

It’s called leadership. Being a good President requires one to have that skill.

I trust our President a hell of a lot more than Congress.

The reason is simple; so we would be a united nation when going to war

For much of our history, Senators weren't elected as well. Too bad the 17th amendment doinked that up. 100 less elected positions in government in today's election climate would make for a more peaceful government.

That's the point. We're not supposed to go to war unless absolutely necessary

The judicial branch is the weakest branch.

If the other 2 branches were doing their job correctly then the judiciary would have zero power whatsoever.

Senators going back to being appointed by the States instead of being elected would remove them having to campaign and would remove outside influence of money from other states.

Win, Win!

You do realize, that contrary to what depends pissing dementia laden Nancy and loser filth traitor scum Chuck says, that the President of the United States does NOT NEED Congressional approval, or even consult, to take a measured military response, right? We could carpet bomb the shite out of Iran if that is necessary. Congress may declare all out war. They can NOT prevent the President from taking action however.

I applaud your President (our President) for not taking the bait in this case and showing restraint. If the Iranians persist, however, then it has been demonstrated that they have been given up to three get out of jail free cards (1. sabotage of tankers in port, 2. either missile or mine attacks of 2 tankers in the Straight and 3. Shooting down a drone). If they persist, and the United States acts upon them with a terrible swift sword from the air and sea, which would be easy to do, then anybody who criticizes such action is an appeasing pussy.

Do you understand this?

Trump making any decision is scary. This wouldn’t be an issue if trump wasn’t a thin skinned bitch

Would you care to comment on the other Constitutional Congressional duty that has been surrendered to the President that is in the news daily?? and has resulted in the politicalization of a very important government function? I prefer you bring it up.

I’m more of a commenter than a content generator, but I could literally teach a class on how Congress has abdicated its constitutional authority to the executive branch. In fact, I once taught said class for an entire semester.

Here is some content for your commentary

quote:

SECTION 8. Clause 1. The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.
