He may be a demo but he was always funny and went at both sides. With Colbert I’d punch in square in the face as ask him how did he like it.

Younger David Letterman, sure.

He became less funny and more deranged as he aged.

The money fricks these celebrities minds up. Cannot disagree. Letterman was good until he retired.

He was funny in 2000.

Watched right after Katrina and there seemed to be acid behind his jokes.

I once liked him. But, his sorry arse ruined late night tv by bringing politics into it. Never prior to him (or it was good natured - like Gerald Ford falling or the time or hitting someone with a golf ball). Politics has ruined comedy altogether but he individually ruined late night.

Naw, man. He’s a comedian. He’s going to hurt peoples feelings. He did go after both sides. He did wig out here since Trump was in the picture.

Letterman was an a-hole and not funny. Leno was an a-hole too but he was a funny a-hole. I miss Leno.

All show hosts are paid narrative pushers.....don't trust any one of them.

Well I voted Trump twice, and will again. We just have a different opinion. Some here need to cut a little slack. I do know he changed. It’s most likely the network scripted his monologue. Like they do with on the air hosts today.

Early Letterman years were great.

Towards the latter years, I’m not gonna say he went Olbermann level nuts but he was definitely trending more typical angry Leftist than funny.

Colbert isn’t funny. Not one thing is funny about him.

Kimmel is a pretend lib (so he doesn’t get cancelled) but he’s still somewhat funny…not as much as he was two decades ago.

Why Colbert…or HOW Colbert got a late night talk show is baffling.

Loved Carson. I was trying to explain how Letterman changed. I didn’t say I agree with him today. He was great in the early days. I should have said early days. That’s what was meant. Got 26 downvotes early.

Early Letterman was awesome. He was a bitter parody of himself in the final years.

I disagreed with quite a bit of Robin Williams' political views. However, you cannot deny that he was talented beyond measure. He also did great work for the USO and military overseas.

Letterman has changed as much as Howard Stern. They are no longer any semblance of what they once were.

Not me, once he started each show with George Bush falling or flubbing lines I was out. It was funny when Bush actually did something like that but it was not happening everyday, it was basically an 8 year propaganda show.

Letterman back at NBC was funny. Toward the end he was just another late night leftist and a dickhead at that.
