it's shallow character... dig in and ask questions, learn about their journey, then make a judgement
every immigration situation is unique and similar...and it speaks to why our government does little to nothing because it's too complicated
If people want to get mad, get mad at the cartel, get mad at the corrupt governments around the world who steal these innocent people's opportunity at freedom and prosperity in their homeland...

ETA: Not that you should like it. It sucks. For you and for him. That's why our policies have to change on the federal level. Having private citizens faced with the burden of reporting/not reporting isn't fair.

1)DACA recipients are issued a SSN for work purposes only. When they apply for welfare they provide the SSN only. They don't produce the actual card unless asked to do so. 3) Illegals applying for assistance almost never say their husband or babydaddy lives in the home. So now they have cash income and welfare too.
My grocery bill runs about $650 a month. I would absolutely love to have an extra $500 in my pocket.

I agree that something has to be done. I know quite a few wonderful people that just happen to be hispanic. Losing them would be a loss to our community.

Illegal immigrants currently here can apply for citizenship but, cannot vote until they have been free of governmental assistance and have paid taxes for 10 years (the clock does not begin until attainment of citizenship through typical current testing).
Anchor babies are only allowed citizenship AFTER the parent(s) have met their citizenship stipulations.
Any person waiting for citizenship that commits a felony...bye - for good.
Bye bye sanctuary city designation.
If you currently have a felony and are caught by law enforcement...bye -
No questions asked.

If they want to come back in the right way thats fine and i hope they do, that Apex is the Christian thing for them to do and thats on them. They broke the law and crossed our border illegally just to use our welfare system against us. The only fix is for every illegal to go home..

He’s not being racist. He’s saying a black and white world view is wrong. I agree. I’m a Christian and believe in compassion for the foreigner as we are called to in the Bible. I also believe it’s ridiculous to benefit from people’s work for years, which America has, and then to toss them out like trash.

Our welfare system was broken before the illegals showed up and its still not fixed. They just add to a extremely haunting issue.

You can NEVER leave it up to someone to make the decision based on heart wrenching stories like this one. There is always a story. The only true way, like it's been stated, is to just follow the law. Not every person here illegally is a bad person, but they are here illegally. The reason it needs to be addressed is because of the criminal-minded politicians who seek to profit from them being here, and also from getting more here. Nothing personal against anyone, but you have to treat everyone the same under the law.
