I just can not understand why the democrats did not release the Epstein files. Why?

It just does not make sense. Is this really just a game they are playing to keep the public divided, using a compliant MSM to scream for release only when the GOP is in charge?

It is perfect for them because no matter what, they can spin a narrative.
The files by law must be redacted somewhat to protect the victims.
So no matter what the reality is, there will be endless allegations of "hiding" information.

I assumed they were holding only for the effect of controlling the narrative and having the info needed to pressure those who were obviously willing participants.
